I began my photography journey with a nikon camera, a roll of black and white film and an opportunity to develop my own pictures. I was 12 years old and in the 7th grade.

I was hooked! When my schedule opened up in high school I coordinated an independent study and took my own personal photography class. A spot as the photographer for the Torch Yearbook allowed me to capture memories and really get candid shots.

Fast forward to adulthood. Somewhere along the way, when film transitioned to digital life had taken a different turn. On top of that I started to have kids and free time didn't seem to exist. Then one day my dad decided to invest in a digital camera. Nikon of all brands. My brand. He told me I should borrow it to take pics of my boys and all the feelings came back to me. I loved the candid moments of the boys playing, mixed with me setting them up on the stairs. 

Combine that reignited passion with lots of learning and shadowing portrait sessions and I thought, I can do this! l attended workshops and now many years of putting in the work and here we are! I love photographing anything from food (see work from the Olde Hitching Post), clothing/product (hello, my time at Work N Gear) and people!!
